- Key Medium won two important design awards for SEPMA’s microsite.
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania: The Southeastern Pennsylvania Manufacturing Alliance (SEPMA) partnered with Key Medium for a new website design and platform to share news and events, hoping to generate more leads, enhance connectedness among the manufacturing industry, and outreach potential. SEPMA is a ‘multiemployer’ collaborative comprised of manufacturers and those who educate people to work in manufacturing. It also provides resources for workforce and economic development. Their old website was confusing and information wasn’t structured logically so Key Medium decided to change that.
Ali Jaffar, CEO and lead developer at Key Medium explained, “SEPMA’s website is more of a microsite on the Philadelphia Works website, which we developed earlier in the year. Their old site was unclear and unfocused so we completed a custom website design, focusing on development and site structure as well as on-page SEO. We worked on a content strategy for lead generation and to better connect the manufacturing industry partnership in Southeast PA. I’m delighted that they have received a lift in traffic, generated new leads, and are able to more easily connect affiliates and employer partners together–via a new digital experience–as a result.”
Key Medium improved the look and feel of the website, including the usability. After the launch, Key Medium helped SEPMA grow membership and achieve an increase in page views by 20%. Unique page views saw a 75% lift and bounce rate reduced by 15%.
The SEPMA site won a 2019 Muse Creative Awards Rose Gold, recognizing excellence in design, creativity, and digital and a 2019 dotComm Awards Honorable Mention in web-associations, recognizing web creativity.
Ali Jaffar continues, “Our design, development, SEO, digital strategy, and content strategy are tried and tested to help companies reach their goals. We tailor our strategy to individual organizations, and we understand how to get results that work. We are proud that we achieved not only great results for The Southeastern Pennsylvania Manufacturing Alliance but that we also received two internationally-acclaimed awards for creativity too.”
The new website has a clear structure with prominent CTA buttons. The content is logically structured and it allows users to see what SEPMA does, how it benefits them, what events are upcoming, the latest news, and information about membership, employer partners, affiliates, careers in manufacturing and more.
